As of August 2018 the State of California has changed the requirements of the “Prop 65” law. We now must list on our website any possible chemicals the can cause cancer, birth defects or reproductive problem.

Beautifully Brilliant | |
| This is a great display with good response time and bright white characters on a blue background. I found no contrast adjustment necessary. Like many 4x40 displays, it uses 2 HD44780 LCD controllers, and has two E enable pins that control the LCDs lines 1/2 and 3/4. Most software compilers only allow one E pin definition, so external logic and an extra uC control pin is required to route text to the desired lines. But this is simple enough to do and a small inconvenience in return for the 160 characters of display. | ||
